..
I just got in from being out last night, Saturday. I had a marvelous time with friends. Tonight's post shall be brief.
My gratitudes for Saturday.
1. Fun with friends and family was my delightful experience this evening. My birthday was celebrated at my favorite place, the Fairmont Hotel.
It was divine. My favorite pianist, Eric Shifrin, played tunes I like, including Masquerade, Twilight Time, Someone to Watch over Me, Autumn in New York. He was voted the best pianist in San Francisco by San Francisco Magazine in 2010.
Here's "Masquerade" for those who want to take a listen:
Here's ...................
2. I had a special moment during this evening with family and friends. We did a exercise that touched everyone involved. More about that, tomorrow, after I've gotten some sleep
3. I was happy when we played my favorite game: Pit. I came from behind and won. What a joy to share moments of laughter and joyful exuberance with those I love. This evening, I'll cherish for a long time.
4. Alexander the Gray is still around. He's barely hanging on; he's about to head off to cat heaven. But he's still around. I was able to see him: after the Fairmont, we went to my friend's house to play cards. He lives there. This past January the vet gave him three months to live. Thanks, Alex, for making my birthday that much better, because it had you in it.
5. I'm grateful that as I go to sleep tonight, knowing I had a very special day with friends and family. I'm appreciative of all the love I received this evening.
6. I'm thankful for my life, the richness of my friendships and the joy I know as a result of God's deep love for me. He manifests it to me in so many tangible ways, like He did tonight
Phyllis, I've tried writing you three times Saturday morning. Each time my computer froze and I lost the lengthy letters I wrote. Argh! I'll try again today, after I get some shut eye.

Happy belated Birthday Pablo! Sounds like you had a great time with friends. Been to California for the past month w/Mother's
Day,son's graduation and his fiance' bridal shower. Visited my dad & brother and met Cyndi in San Diego along with visiting my step-daughter. I have returned to SSS mind thinking and planning my meals. Hope to see great results. I have a wedding to go to in 117 days. Hoping to see a 20 pd loss. I think of you often. God bless you, my friend...
Gotta love George Benson's, The Masquerade. Brings back lots of memories. It was one of my favorite songs.
Gratitudes! So thankful for our safe travels to and from California.
So thankful for my family and how well everyone is doing.
A prayer for my SIL who is having a drastic operation on her back possibly in July/August. They will reconstruct her back and realign her hips. She was born with a horrific curviture of her spine. This operation is extensive and never performed before. The specialists from Stanford are confident they can perform this and she has finally decided to go ahead with it. I ask you to put this on a prayer chain for a successful operation. The pain will be over-the-top for quite sometime and will need MAJOR drugs. Very scary, but we give it to the Lord who already knows the outcome. We will trust in Him and continue our prayers for her. Her name is Kitty to us and Kathleen to everyone else. Thank you Pablo..God bless you and pray you are well.
Dear Lisa, I wrote a reply in the post after this. You may not have seen it. So good to see you, again! Next time you are in the SF Bay Area, let me know. We can visit, maybe with my sons. If you head to Stanford to be with your sister-in-law, let me know. I can drop by.
I have a dear one who's been on Oxycontin and Hydrocodone, legal forms of heroin. Kathleen has my prayers.
Please drop by, again, with your gratitudes, soon.
Thank you for the birthday greetings, I meant to say. Congratulations go out to your son for graduating; how's your dad? I wish the very best for you, regarding your SSS goals. Remember, you are not alone. Please check in, again.
