Spiritual Awakening

This tab is a developing feature of this inn.  I'll add other related postings as I locate them within the corners of this inn.

I believe we are primarily spiritual.    For more on that you can read here. We can only do so much, in our own strength.
"Apart from me, you can do nothing."                           John 15:5
That's right, there's only one God and we are not it.  Our healing is not the result of more reading. For more on this subject, you might want to read this.

It is a result of looking reality straight in the eyes, acknowledging our inadequacies and appropriating a power that can help us replace inadequate behaviors and thoughts with healthier alternatives.

Having an Attitude of Gratitude requires connecting with the God of our understanding. Again, by our resources alone, we can't overcome the unmanageable areas in our lives.

As a counselor, I find many who deal with different struggles.  Abandonment, abuse, addictions---including perseveration, anger, a painful past, depression, disappointment, resentment or relating with difficult others who try to control their behavior or feelings. Sheesh.

Our connection with God, and having a emotionally safe personal community---our supportive network---is our only way out from these dilemmas.

As always, I enjoy your reactions and thoughts, they contribute to the community we enjoy in this cozy and supportive place in cyberspace. I can always learn from you, my perspective is limited.  So, please comment. You'll make a happy innkeeper!
