My, it's been a long time since I've posted gratitudes.
It feels good, knowing I will, in a minute----my gratitude muscles can't wait. My work has increased the past month, keeping the innkeeper away from this
cozy place in cyberspace. I've added twenty-two clients since November 20th. Wow.
Today, alone, I booked appointments with three others who are now a part of my clientele. The past few weeks I've been getting calls from prospective clients who have had several refer them to what I do. Tomorrow will be intense, but immensely good. I'll tackle intricate, complex, deep issues with an extraordinary client, with unique sensitivities.
As a writer, I look forward to tomorrow's opportunity. Each person an amazing universe. My days are never dull. Owning a business in itself stretches me, it feeds my inner adult and my enjoyment of challenge, creativity, and growing consciousness of the human condition.
In my own strength, I'm inadequate. I'm thankful for God's grace. It helps me intuit responses to dramatic and emotional issues that surface when relating with those I serve. My profession allows me to use the thousands of invigorating hours I've studied on different fascinating and fulfilling subjects.
I enjoy sessions with clients, such was the case today. That's an unintentional and unexpected benefit. Seeing others lives transform, and being effective at helping others is fulfilling.
Just to surprise you a bit, something I haven't mentioned much, lately, I believe that most therapy and psychotropics----medications for mental ills----often hibernate and/or mask problems that many have. I find somatic therapy, developing non-violent communication skills, and applying cognitive, behavioral psychology, along with incorporating the recovery model, applying it towards the subjects of codependency and external referenting, does wonders for most, if not all of my clients.
Most importantly, is experiencing a Spiritual Awakening. This happens when availing ourselves to the power of a loving, patient, forgiving and gracious God.
