I'm sorry to say that someone burglarized the inn. Somehow, they emptied the contents of my longest post, Buddy of Mine, a series of four posts woven together with a special chapter written just for that page, "A Loyalty Lesson," along with the photos and graphics.
Wow.
Ugh.
I'll be honest with you, that page still brought a tear to my eye, each time I read it. I loved Alexander the Grey(t) so. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of the extra chapter or of some of the photos. I'll try cobbling it together, when I have time.
I'm sad and surprised someone would do that. I've written 699 entries. It looks like I will need to save them, elsewhere.
The good new is that this place had 7,000 visitors in July and it looks like this month the numbers may be higher, much higher.
Welcome to the new guests. Thank you, for dropping by. I hope this cozy place in cyberspace meets your need for peace, ease and encouragement

That really stinks! I'm sorry to hear that you've been robbed.
Thank you for your comments on my blog. I just saw them today- I owe you a proper response.
Dear Innkeeper,
Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that someone robbed our Inn! For what purpose, and to what end? I'm also sorry they are hurting that much inside to do such a thing.
On this Tuesday evening, I am grateful for...
1. Two days up in the Pope Valley wine country to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary.
2. Fine fellowship and meals with old friends while there.
3. The cool, refreshing waters of an indoor pool on a hot summer day.
4. Productive time tonight helping organize a meaningful event around the United Nations International Day of Peace this September.
I don't understand how someone could delete your entry since they are all saved in Blogger. Hope that you figure a way to recover your post.
Kelly,
You are right, it stinks. For me, that page was one that meant more to me---at least emotionally----than any other, and in my opinion, one of the best ones here. I'll see how well my memory serves me, when re-creating chapter two from scratch. The other chapters were individual posts written over three days.
On the page that was stolen, each post/chapter was revamped---enhanced and modified. That work is gone, too gone, too. (Sigh)
My dear, regarding your life, there is hope for you, but you need to do your part. This will involve hard work. The benefits, however, far outweigh your effort: serenity, fabulous relationships, dignity, integrity and peace of mind, along with enjoying the life YOU want.
How can you beat that??
Wishing you good, honest, unconditionally loving friends who are also honest with you,
The Innkeeper
Dear Carl,
Thank you, for the consistency and memory you have about salutations and how I appreciate them.
I'm frustrated and sad about the loss. Thank you, for caring. That page, as it was, is gone. I'll try to reconstruct it, but it will not be exactly the same. (Sigh)
As the innkeeper of this place I am duly authorized to bestow upon you the Attitude of Gratitude Award for the first half of 2013. Your entries have kept me company, made me smile and have been a joy to read. Thank you for your outstanding example.
Do I hear a hip, hip, hooray for Carl?
Are you satisfied that your need for self-expression and celebrating life has transpired here, the past year and a half, and more?
Syd,
I've been hacked. I'm opened this inn a few times to find it was opened at an another location. I thought it was the work of someone who was doing admin work for me or another person who once had access.
Now, I know neither of them. I'm changing passwords, once I figure out how.
