Learning a New Language..... 1/13/15

I trekked to the bucolic town Sebastopol this evening, along with the towns of Occi-dental, Forestville and Petaluma.  Two hundred miles round trip. Cannelloni made with crab and a phenomenal salad,
a delight to taste buds, was had before the workshop.

I joined nine others for training in getting real, from 7:15-9:15 p.m.   I was corrected, shortly into the session, even though it was
my first time attending and there was a lot of guidelines to absorb.  Twenty minutes later the instructor mentioned she felt bad because she thought she had shut me down. She did make me quiet, but I was not shut down.

 My Gratitudes:
1.  A friend went along on today's journey. We shared dinner and lively conversation on our way to Sebastopol and back.
2.  Those in the workshop were friendly, making me feel welcomed. Several expressed concern for me, especially after the instructor corrected me. It wasn't a problem.  I am not externally referented.
3.  I got a break today. One of my clients was ill.  We rescheduled our time to Friday.  It allowed me  to have a slower start to my day.  Just what what was needed.  I am still recovering from being sick last Friday and the weekend.  It helped me get my bearings.
4.  The teacher lent me her book. She wrote it. It is used for this six session workshop. Tonight's focus was on being aware of what is going on inside of us. I liked that each person took ownership for their projections and interpretations as we listened to one another. I felt encouraged, being with others who want to overcome being controlling, wanting to grow the authenticity they have in their lives.

How About You?
What are your three gratitudes for today?
