“Gratitude is when memory is stored in the heart and not in the mind.” Lionel Hampton |
Today is a special day. Do you know why?
It's my youngest son's birthday. I remember the day perfectly. What a gift he is. Today is unique for another reason, too. This marks the 7th month anniversary of the opening of this inn. Yep, this room is still a baby. I've been assiduously attending to this cozy place. I've:
1. Written 187 posts
2. Contributed several hundred encouraging quotations.
3. Put up more than 250 photos, mainly landscapes. Speaking of which, I'm an authorized promoter of the fabulous photos of the Englishman, Most of the photos shown here belong to Tim Blessed. Please note his photos are all copyrighted.
4. Had 241 comments. I look forward to hearing from you.
5. Had visitors from more than 37 nations, 8,000 in the past four weeks alone. Our readership is growing.
The top 10 are:
a. The U.S. 9,712
b. Spain 1,982
c. England 1,554
d. Canada 728
e. India 349
f. Malaysia 345
g. Brazil 327
h. Greece 326
i. Pakistan 300
j Germany 197
Thank you for dropping by. Sixteen thousand and six hundred and sixty guests have dropped by, 560 of you did so today. It makes this place not so lonely.
Our international visitors have dramatically increased in the past month----you've found this room and its innkeeper. You might want to mark this place as a favorite.
In the next few weeks I'll be introducing some new features to the inn.
Today, two hundred and seventy of you read the story about Ellie. My new friend, who likes going around undressed, that I met in Novato. I wish you could meet her. Then she wouldn't demand so much of my attention.
The post "Defensive Hope" has been the most popular read for today, this week, month and for all time. It was a slow burner; it's gathered momentum over time. I glad you like it. It passed "Still Learning"in the past week, which had been the most popular since it was written in late August.
I haven't heard from many of you. You've heard my gratitudes almost everyday the past seven months. Would it be possible for me to hear yours? I enjoy reciprocity, equality and the fellowship we have when you do. Thanks!
