Where Has the Innkeeper Been?

   Good evening everyone,
I'm slipping in my gratitudes while it is still Monday. The past week was busy, both in the inn, and in my life. Two thousand guests passed through this place in seven days. I'm recovering from my trip to Lake Tahoe. I stayed at Squaw Valley for three days,
returning Sunday night.

Yesterday, the party I was with, up in Tahoe, meandered around the lake before heading back to the San Francisco Bay Area. I met with a client that evening. The funny thing was that I was energized after the 5 hour drive---I didn't expect that. Afterwards, to unwind, I went to the movies, visiting with my oldest son before seeing an intense film.

    My Gratitudes for Monday:

1. I enjoyed getting away.
2. I had fun with the many I knew at the conference---there were close to 300 people there.
3. I related with two stressed-out people today. I'm happy that my tranquility and equanimity was not affected by the agitation of one and the hyper sensitivity of the other.
4. Early in the day, two meaningful conversations with my two youngest sons met my need for connection and open communication, honesty and intimacy.

I'm tired so I'll call it a night. May you have a great and grateful Tuesday,

The Innkeeper
