Growth Requires Effort---Reaping What We Sow......... 11/25/14

I awoke tonight at 10:45 p.m. after conking out on the couch while reading.  My body has more sense than me. Pre-cious, my cat, was curled at my feet.  Not done before, us being together since June.  She's letting me know I rate.

Normally, I work late on Tuesday night.  It is holiday time, I caught a break.  Tonight, I'm reviewing
high points---the best things that happened---in the previous seven days, something I routinely do at the beginning of a week.

Highs:
1.  Exercising disci-pline.  Saturday, I wrote non-stop from 5:00 p.m. until 6:15 a.m., the next day.  Awoke at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, contributing two more hours, fin-ishing the project, a fourteen point, five page single-spaced, typed outline.

Earlier on Saturday, I studied five hours. I was incubating what was later birthed from my typing fingertips.  Every second spent, studying, writing, made me more alive.  No exhaustion, boredom, or distractions tore me away from the angel of ideas being chiseled from my writing efforts.  Now, I have helpful material for clients and speaking engagements.

Growth requires effort.  I am grateful for investing in hap-piness, strength, peace of mind through my efforts this weekend.  I thrived.
2.  What I wrote produced clarity about intimacy.  I was able to map out steps vital for having nurturing relationships, that permit true bonding.  I created material that helps overcome buttons and triggers that usually set off emotional alarms.  Alarms that usually cause us to regress to the emotional maturity of a seven year old.
3.  Loving the freedom and vitality my soul drinks in when I stand in my power, recovery from codependency and abuse. This happens when I maintain integrity---remain true---to my values even when pressured to do otherwise.

How About You?
What were the high points you had this past week?
