Being Tested 11/22/13

Good morning, everyone. How are you?  Thank you, for dropping by.  How was your week?  Mine was difficult, but good. Am I glad for the many who
love and energize me with their support.

Tomorrow, I'm speaking at an event.  I've been working on it the past six weeks, including this morning. What encourages me as I prepare is that I simply do my best and trust God for the results.  I am not what I do or don't do.

It's been stormy in the Bay Area. Same has been true, situationally. Tomorrow's topic is "Thriving While Suffering Loss."  As is usually the case, when giving a talk, the subject often becomes vividly real in my personal life. And so it was.

I'd appreciate your prayers as I continue working on tomorrow's talk.  I want to be, with God's help, a blessing to those attending.  If you live in the Bay Area, you can come and hear me speak.  For more info, you can click here, you'll have to scroll down a little.

Gratitudes for Today:
1.  God loves me.  Our relationship has been a long one.  Without it, I would not be the person I am.
2.  I'm visiting with a dear friend today.  I look forward to our time.
3.  I received tremendous encouragement and support from several friends yesterday, just when needed.
4.  I'm amazed about how much love I'm getting from my Balcony People.
5.  I appreciate the strength gotten when placing principles above my personality. That the loudest voice in my head isn't necessarily the truest.  Reminding myself of all the good things that have happened in my life is a wonderful antidote when I'm weary and stressed.

How About You?
What are your gratitudes for today?
