An Intense, But Intensely Good Day 8/4/15

     I cheated today.

Did it feel good.  I am wearing a removable brace on my broken wrist.  My lower arm is bruised, sore and swollen because of the device.  And itchy. Today, I took
it off for large portions of the day.  Bad boy.

I was wiped out by today's sessions. I gave my all. I took two naps for two hours this evening. They were interspersed with conversations with someone I love.  My heart was challenged but not worried.

I am grateful for the strength I felt when remaining present during the conversations.  After I mentioned something serious, she became quiet.  I asked for her response.  It was then I discovered she had been crying.

Gratitudes for Today:
1.  The relief from pain, when I removed the brace.
2.  For the thousands of hours of experience I have for the work I do.  It was needed today while assisting clients in crisis.
3.  I got a new referral today. I'll see her at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow.
4.  For my wounds oozing through the knee of  my dress pants.  It's an opportunity to practice patience. It also reminds me to not take lightly my health, when it returns.
5.  For the power of the principles I live by. The allowed me to stay true to my values during today's conversations.

How About You?
What are your three gratitudes for today?
