A Special Day ...... 03/13/18

     Well, today is the day.

Seven years ago, the doors to this inn opened.  A lot has happened since then.  Almost all of it, 97% good.

Please join me in celebrating the seventh anniversary of this
positive place in cyberspace!

What have I learned over seven years of being the innkeeper?

1.  Keeping a record of gratitudes is an enriching experi-ence.  It isn't that unhappy people complain.  It is that complaining makes us unhappy.

Research shows happy people live longer and have better marriages.  A positive outlook as many benefits.

Sharing my gratitudes in this inn helps me see many ways of cele-brating and appreciating life.

2.  I am happily surprised for the past three years my second largest audience is from Russia.  The U.K. still remains second, with the U. S. in first place. But those from the land of Tolstoy, Chekhov and Tchaikovsky are getting close to overtaking the British audience.

3.  It is hard to write.  I do it because I cannot not write.  Learning to write clear sentences helps order my thinking.

4.  Writing has a life of its own.  Many posts were spawned from writing, not knowing the shape and direction my thoughts would go.  That was the case with the previous post about why we remain miserable.

5.  I enjoy making many of the posters that bring color to this inn.

6.  On file in my laptop are 2,977 quotes which have used for this inn.

7.  Writing for this inn helps the work I do.  Clients enjoy handouts which often contains material first written here.

8.  My life is in the best place it has ever been, emotionally, socially, physically and mentally. My duties as innkeeper have helped make this possible.  Writing forces me to process my thoughts.  (I've written 1,326 posts, 1,248 of them published.  That's an average of 16 posts a month.)

Thank you, for your visits.  You make my day when you post a comment.  Your interest in this inn makes the work I do here worthwhile.

Here's wishing you a wonderful Wednesday.  I am expecting an important delivery.  See you soon!

Congratulations, Attitude of Gratitude!

I'm grateful for:

1. Camping this weekend.

2. Reminiscing with two older cousins from my mom's side.

3. Seeing my nephews play with my boys, their cousins.

4. Taking in the stillness of nature.

5. Seeing my sister, brother-in-law, and two nieces.

6. Having some quiet time alone, listening to the lapping sounds of the tiny lake waves coming in.

7. Commiserating with my brother.

Thank you!
