Good evening,
Gratitudes for Wednesday:
1. I slept in this morning. Then again, I didn't go to bed until
4:00 a.m., so, that maybe wasn't sleeping in. Thank God, for rest.
2. I've spent time with cats the past two days. I'm catsitting. They are in heaven when I give them my patented spinal massage. Staying at a different place adds variety and fun to this week. Having a cat crawl up and sleep on my lap is a fine, homey way to end the day.
3. I got together with friends this evening. An uplifting time. I'm grateful for the honesty shared and the warm time of fellowship.
How About You?
What are three things that make your heart sing?

I had a candid deep conversation at the beach with a fellow bipole and blogger and I felt so so connected. It gave me goosebumps all over.
ReplyDeleteI made a mix cd for my boss because I screwed up at work. I love mending wounds if it's possible.
I did some active listening to my depressed aunt while she cried and cried and begged to die. It was so hard, but I did it!!!
Dear Innkeeper,
ReplyDeleteOn this lovely Thursday evening, I am grateful for;
1. A new, more relaxed work route and travel schedule to and through the gastronomically rich wine country of Sonoma and Napa valley, allowing more time for better meetings with chefs.
2. Learning to process work orders on-the-fly, so I don't have to do them in the evening, once home.
3. A rich evening in our home of guitar strumming song, fellowship and birthday cake around said occasion of a dear pastor friend of ours.
4. Thoroughly enjoying Youtube video's of Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind," and Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York," while in hot pursuit of a themed duet Grazyna and I can sing at our dear friend Mose's (a bona-fide New York City expat!) 70+ birthday party in early September.
Dear Vanessa,
ReplyDeleteI'm happy hearing you connected with another who understood you well, that you took steps to make amends with your boss and your compassion for your aunt.
Did you do anything to relieve your stress, after your visit aunt? I hope so.
I really like it when you post three gratitudes, you fulfill the vision of this inn, when you do!
Dear Carl,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your life is getting smoother: ya ay! May you have fun practicing crooning with your wife.
Thank you, for your consistency in posting gratitudes. My day is brighter. It reminds me of the following quote:
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
― Melody Beattie
You contributions to this inn are full of this spirit, making me very grateful.
